Dr Shirley Bang

Dr Shirley Bang, Urology Specialist, provides diagnosis and treatment for an all-encompassing scope of urology issues, ranging from simple procedures for urinary stones to more complicated reconstructive surgery of the urinary tract.

A Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, Dr Shirley Bang sits on the executive committee of the Singapore Society for Continence and author research papers published in respected urological journals. During her time at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Dr Shirley Bang was a core faculty member of the National Healthcare Group Urology Residency Program, as well as a clinical tutor for both NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NUS’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Prior to starting her private practice, Dr Shirley Bang was a consultant with the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) where she built her experience and expertise in urology. Instrumental in introducing Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS), a treatment for overactive bladder, while at TTSH in 2018, the doctor also managed both simple and complex urological cases daily in addition to running weekly urodynamics and video urodynamics sessions. Fluent in Cantonese, English, Malay, and Mandarin, Dr Shirley Bang’s patient clientele is as diverse as her range of urological medical services.
